JCAHO Accreditation
Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan is committed to providing the highest quality of care possible to its patients and caregivers. As one measure of this quality care, the agency has been accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations since 1996.
To earn and maintain accreditation, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan has an extensive on-site review by a team of Joint Commission health care professionals, at least once every three years. The purpose of the review is to evaluate the organization's performance in areas that affect care. Our most recent on-site review was conducted in October of 2005.
If you have any concerns about patient care and safety in the organization, you are encouraged to contact the Chief Operating Officer at (269)345-0273 or by emailing us. Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan recognizes the importance of such communication and would work to respond to the safety or quality concerns as quickly as possible. If the concerns or complaint cannot be resolved through the organization, you are encouraged to contact the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring by either calling 1-800-994-6610 or emailing complaint@jcaho.org.
