Moving Forward

The Moving Forward group was formed to meet the needs of individuals 65 and under who are adjusting to life after the death of a partner.

Through a variety of social and learning activities, Moving Forward participants come together in a supportive environment to share their grief experience and take advantage of frequent social, emotional, practical and educational opportunities.

Moving Forward participants gain knowledge about grief, develop new coping skills and build new friendships. Activities include monthly dinners at area restaurants, cultural and outdoor activities and educational presentations on practical living topics as well as on self-discovery and self-expression.

Moving Forward is facilitated by an experienced grief support counselor and a steering committee of Moving Forward participants. Anyone in the community, 65 or younger, is cordially invited to attend Moving Forward events.
