At
Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, we recognize that most people want
to spend their remaining time surrounded by familiar things and
those they love. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to
support clients and their families in the comfort and privacy
of home. There are times, however, when staying at home may not be
the best choice. More specialized medical attention may be
required than family and friends can provide. Or the client may
live alone.
When home care is not the best option, Rose Arbor
offers a home away from home. Although the reasons to choose Rose Arbor may
vary. Our goal is always the same, to provide comfort, privacy and
dignity in a peaceful setting.
Our Personalized,
Professional Services
People facing a serious illness deserve medical and emotional support
they can trust in an environment that's comfortable and comforting...a
place where family and friends feel welcome, where life can be lived.
You can depend on Rose Arbor to answer these needs. Rose Arbor
was the first licensed hospice residence in Michigan. We planned
it to look and feel like home, unlike a traditional medical
facility. We also designed our services to be as personal as
they are professional.
Registered nurses deliver skilled care, including pain and symptom
management, 24 hours a day.
Home Health Aides provide personal care.
Hospice medical
director evaluates clients on a daily basis.
Trained counselors
provide emotional, spiritual and grief support support.
We regularly
communicate with the patient's primary care physician.
We provide
supplemental therapies to maximize strength, functioning and comfort.
Spacious, Private Rooms
Eighteen spacious, private rooms are equipped to
allow family members to stay overnight and participate in client care.
Other amenities include three family gathering rooms, whirlpool for
client skin care, visitor shower facilities and chapel.
Cost
The comprehensive hospice services at Rose Arbor are covered by
Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance, just as they are at
home. Although Medicare and Medicaid do not cover room and board fees,
which include private room, meals, and all Rose Arbor amenities, some
private insurance plans may cover these costs. As a non-profit,
community agency, we accept clients based on their need for care, not
their ability to pay. For those individuals with restricted finances,
a flexible payment plan may be arranged.
